Have you ever thought (like I have)…”If only I could make them see.” “If only I tried a little harder, or tried a different approach, then maybe they’d get it. Then maybe they’d love Jesus like I do.”

That’s the Christian’s anguish isn’t it? (Besides our sinful flesh), our bane in life is seeing the people that we love rush headlong into hell (while we’re powerless to stop it from happening).

If you’re a genuine born-again Christian like I am, then you know how exciting it is to walk in newness of life, & to have the mind of Christ (Rom. 6.4 & 1 Cor. 2.16)! To live and breathe as a “new creature” (2 Cor. 5.17) is an exciting adventure isn’t it?! With all praise, glory & honor going only to the risen Lord Jesus Christ!!! Yes & amen.

However while this fountain of life is thriving within us…we concurrently see the majority of proud people around us operating in spiritual death. Living in the pride of life, living in sin (while complaining about the consequences of their sinful choices), devouring one another, worrying, blaming others for their sinful behaviors, full of unbelief, hatred, lust, & envy…who, despite the spiritual cesspool that defines their existence, they still will not come to the Light no matter how much religious salesmanship we apply to them do they?

Does any of that sound familiar to you?

That teaches us (experientially) the fact that God has to make a spiritually-dead sinner spiritually alive for them to want mercy & life in Jesus Christ.
You’ve probably learned (like I have) that religious salesmanship doesn’t really work does it?
Have you learned (like I have) that appealing to man’s logic for salvation will only result in a false convert? (That’ll eventually prove what a sham their claim of salvation is).

Have you also learned (like I have) how that intellectual knowledge of Christ isn’t salvation, and that revelation knowledge of Christ (that can only come from God the Holy Ghost) is salvation?
[Someone claiming that they’re a Christian doesn’t make it so].

I know that it’s a hard lesson to learn, but the fact is, we Christians can no more effect the quickening of a spiritually dead sinner than we can quicken some corpse lying in a morgue.
Only God the Holy Ghost has the power to quicken that which is dead.

So we present the gospel, pray for their souls as God leads, and leave the results in His hands.

Here’s some very interesting scripture to ponder regarding this matter:

Romans 4.17

“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.”

Ephesians 2.1

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;”

Colossians 2.13

“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;”

John 3.17-21

17 “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

John 3.5-8

5 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”

2 Corinthians 4.3-7

3 “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”

All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ, and no glory to us whatsoever!
