Good mornin to you.
Have you ever contrasted religion’s approach to evangelism with the reality of justification?
What I mean is, religion seems to think that if a certain approach is presented to a lost sinner, then somehow that factors into whether or not that person gets saved.
When you and I who are actually born again by the Spirit of God know what absolute nonsense that is.
When God convicts a lost sinner of their guilt, they’ll pray and dig through scripture until they get the relief that only comes from resting in the finished work of Christ, (Hebrews chapter 4).
Salvation is entirely internal, not one bit of it is external.
God’s miracle of salvation in a lost sinner is like a hurricane that moves upon the recipient’s soul from within, and it’s a miracle from God that only He can create. (Which is why salvation is impossible for man or religion to produce or augment).
3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.“
7 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.“
4 “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.“
All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ, and no glory to us whatsoever
