Good mornin to you, and thank you for sharing some of your valuable time with me.

Please prayerfully engage this topic as you would every matter of scripture and doctrine.

I must preface this post to inform you that the purpose of this post isn’t to endorse sin in any way whatsoever, (I hate sin). But rather, this post’s specific aim is to call attention to scriptural facts Vs. errant religious traditions in regard to man’s justification before God. And because of that contrast, I believe that you’ll find this post to be both helpful & interesting in how you view the subject of justification hereafter.

May the risen Lord Jesus Christ always be magnified in our hearts.

So here we go…

A. I challenge anyone to show me even one person in scripture who was transferred from spiritual death to spiritual life as a result of their repenting of their sins.
(We are receivers of spiritual life, not producers of spiritual life).

B. What was the purpose of Jesus publicly giving life to Lazarus?
(Can any of us bring a corpse to life by improving our behavior)?

C. Did Jesus purposely & effectually call His disciples, the apostle Paul, and every other saint in scripture into His Kingdom by His Own will?
(Or did those spiritually-dead people choose Jesus, and gain entrance into His Kingdom by repenting of their sins)?

D. Was Noah, Abraham, Rahab, or Samson saved by faith in God?
(Or were they saved because they repented of their sins)?

E. Why is the law a curse to anyone who tries to live by it?
(No one except Jesus has ever kept the law).

F. And lastly,

Many times works salvationists will incorrectly interpret the passage of scripture below.

Claiming that it teaches that the Christian must crucify their flesh, (repent of their sins) to be accepted into the Kingdom of God.

(Was Jesus repenting of His sins? Of course not).

When verse 26 tells us exactly what this passage of scripture is talking about.

It’s teaching that every Christian must publicly identify with Jesus, accepting the rejection & cost [whatever that is] that will come to everyone who is openly associated with Him.
(False Christians fail that test).

Luke 9

23 “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.

Hopefully now you can see the impotence that’s attributed to God when someone communicates that God can’t or won’t succeed in saving the object of His love & mercy without the help of man’s tainted morality.

God has (as a free gift), fully forgiven every Christian of all their sin in the risen Lord Jesus Christ

Ephesians 4.32
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Colossians 2.13-14

13 “And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Revelation 1.5-6

5 “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

God has (as a free gift), fully sanctified every Christian in the risen Lord Jesus Christ

1 Corinthians 6.11

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Hebrews 10.10

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10.14

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Jude 1.1-2

1 “Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

God has (as a free gift), made every Christian to be fully His righteousness in the risen Lord Jesus Christ

Romans 3.22

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Romans 4.3-8

3 “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Romans 5.17-19

17 “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Philippians 3.9

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Summary

1 Corinthians 1.26-31

26 “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ, and no glory to us whatsoever
