Good mornin to you my friend, niceness and smiles to you.
(Please allow me to preface this post with a very important note: God expects His children to always be turning away from our sins, and we who have the Spirit of God indwelling us know this internally. He is our internal guide in all facets of our lives).
Now here’s the message that I want you to consider:
Humor me for a moment please, and consider the following thought…
I was perplexed as to why so many professing Christians never express how thrilled they are to have been made the righteousness of God.
That’s difficult for me to understand, because there’s abundant verses about God has made us Christians His righteousness.
So then why doesn’t this truth excite you?
Does it not thrill you to have been made the righteousness of God?
[Are the effects of religion partly the reason why y’all don’t talk about this magnificent gift? Like you, I’ve sat through many a church service, and it’s virtually unheard of to hear sermons which celebrate that Christians have been made the righteousness of God].
If I were to post something like…
“you’d better repent of your sins!”
“you’re still just a sinner, saved by grace, and don’t you forget it!”
Professing Christians would be “amen ing” those sort of messages all over the place wouldn’t they?
Why is that?
It’s because that doesn’t require faith in the unseen of what God has done, but is based in the seen of what we do.
(Which doesn’t require faith),
and that’s why it’s “easy believism.”
Listen to me please, don’t take this post as a put down towards you, because it’s not.
I’m trying to get you to exercise your faith, and enjoy what God has done for you.
And if you will enjoy the unseen righteousness that He has made you to be, you will be honoring Him in your believing Him.
So stretch your faith my friend, and post an article about how thrilled you are to have been made the righteousness of God, (and watch the work that God does inside of you).
All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ! And no glory to us whatsoever!
