Good mornin to you my friend.

Are you aware of the activity where idolators of the military will approach impostors of veterans and call them out for their offense? (Such offence is labeled as “stolen valor.”)

Well the fact is, the most-vile societal outcast is every bit as precious to God as the most celebrated veteran. God is no respecter of persons at all.

The real stolen valor, is committed by those people who claim that they are a “Christian,” but won’t publicly exalt the name of the risen Lord Jesus Christ.

People who claim to belong to God, but don’t actually belong to Him are guilty of committing the offense of stolen valor of God.

Human pride is the most wicked of all sins.

All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ!

And no glory to us whatsoever!

The wickedness of human pride:

Proverbs 6.16-19

16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Proverbs 20.6

Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?

Proverbs 16:5 – Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

Proverbs 16:18 – Pride [goeth] before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 26:12 – Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? [there is] more hope of a fool than of him.

Isaiah 14.12-15

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Jeremiah 9:23 – Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise [man] glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty [man] glory in his might, let not the rich [man] glory in his riches:

Malachi 4.1,2

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Romans 12:16 – [Be] of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Galatians 6:3 – For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

Philippians 2:3 – [Let] nothing [be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

1 John 2:16 – For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
