Hi there, this article is intended to be helpful to anyone who desires truth. (And just so you know, I too used to be a modern bible user).

This is an EXTREMELY important subject, so please prayerfully pursue this matter with the utmost care.

~

Critics of the KJV often ask: “if the KJV is the inspired word of God, then what did people use prior to 1611 & the KJV? Did those people not have the inspired word of God?”

Good question.

Here’s the answer as I understand the matter.

They did have the inspired word of God. They used the Hebrew Masoretic manuscripts for the old testament, and the Greek textus receptus for the new testament, (and subsequent bibles of those texts which pre date the KJV).

The KJV being, the perfection of combining those elements, so the KJV has in essence, been here all along.

~

I’m not promoting the KJV because I have a history of tradition of using it (I don’t). I’m sharing this information because I believe that the following information is vital for people to receive.

If you use modern bible versions, did you ever think about the fact that you have no solid footing to stand on? What I mean is, you have no reference whatsoever that is the absolute word of God. All you have is a translation that you prefer over others, (and if you do as I once did) you’ll pull verses from other modern bible translations if you like what it says better than another translation…Making you the final authority of what God has said about something. Did you ever really stop to think about you make yourself a judge of God’s word when you bounce from one translation to another?

~

Did you ever really stop to think about how the devil has caused so much confusion within the body of Christ just by having them use different books that claim to be the word of God?

Additionally, if you use modern bible versions, you rely on corrupt Westcott and Hort derivatives which have a corrupted text. (You’re about to see with your own eyes how the gospel is attacked).

Moreover, I want you to know that I’m not questioning your salvation if you’re using a modern bible version. Because I too was a modern bible user when God saved me, (NAS). Nevertheless, God has taught me things since then, and that’s what I’m attempting to pass on to you now right now in this post.

So let’s get to some scriptural evidence of what I’m warning you about shall we?

Here we go…

Matthew 7.14

*

King James Bible

“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

*

Now notice what new bible versions communicate in that same verse. Notice how they change salvation into something that is difficult or hard for you receive, dramatically changing the beautiful way of salvation into an obstacle of difficulty:

NKJV

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

NLT

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.”

ESV

For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

CSB

How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.

CEV

GNT

HCSB

How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.”

NET

But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Mark 10.24

Here’s another consideration for you:

Check your bible version. Does it contain the word “being” in either of the following two verses? If your bible version contains the word “being” in either of those verses, you have a corrupted version. As before, using this sort of wording (this time, by adding the word “being”) makes salvation a process. (Rather than salvation being a free gift from God apart from your works).

Either God has saved someone, or someone is being saved.

The two verses below are from the authorized version, (the KJV).

Notice the conspicuous absence of the word “being” within these verses.

1 Corinthians 1.18

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Hebrews 10.14

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

~

And to my grace-promoting brethren…

Why in the world do you use a bible version that contracts what you believe and promote? You just now read the proof that they deny the primary doctrine that you embrace. Therefore if you continue to use those things, you’ve got serious problems with your text that you can no longer ignore.

~

So I heartily urge you to prayerfully pursue truth, and look into the authorized version of the bible

You can stand on it, it is the word of God for English speaking people.

Thank you for sharing some of your valuable time with me, and may God bless your pursuit of truth.

All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ! And no glory to us whatsoever!
